Granite City Good Food is Aberdeen City's Food Partnership.

We work with organisations and communities to create and promote a sustainable food system in Aberdeen.

In 2025, Aberdeen became the first in Scotland to achieve the Sustainable Food Places Gold Award!

In 2025, Granite City Good Food led the bid that recognised Aberdeen as the first in Scotland - and sixth in the UK - to achieve the Gold Award.​​​​

Why is Sustainability Important?

Globally, food systems account for 21-37% of total Green House Gas emissions and are at the heart of many of the world's challenges - such as malnutrition and biodiversity loss (IPCC, 2019)
