Food Champions

What is a Food Champion?

A Food Champion has the qualifications to teach food skills and confidence to individuals and communities. The programme is delivered by Aberdeen Community Food Network (ACFN), and supports those who go through Confidence 2 Cook (Training 4 Trainers) training. Beyond completing the training, ACFN then support with matching food champions with opportunities, provides resources and networking opportunities, and signposts to relevant funding streams.

If you are involved with an organisation who have ever thought about delivering food skills in the community, then this is your chance!

Become a Food Champion! Are you delivering food skills and confidence, cooking sessions, in your community? ACFN Food Champions is the opportunity for you! 

​

The responsibility of creating a sustainable food system is for us all to ensure. Become a Food Champion and learn to deliver cooking courses for your friends and community. With three courses to complete your training, becoming a Food Champion is free to access. By then end of training you will be proficient in REHIS Food Hygiene, REHIS Food and Health, and Confidence 2 Cook Training for the Trainors.

Our Toolkit has all the information and hints and tips to take your cooking session virtual. Now you can teach to anyone who can't be there in person.
